President's Desk

In 1874 Emily Dickinson wrote: Affection is like bread, unnoticed till we starve, and then we dream of it, and sing of it, and paint it, when every urchin in the street has more than he can eat. We turn not older with years, but newer every day.

As we contemplate another New Year among us let us recollect the moments of the years past. Honor those we lost, rejoice in the big-little victories, and move forward into 2024 with gratitude for yet another year of newness.

With Thanks,

Jennifer Lachermeier, MAPA President
