Activity Coordinator - Full Time

Activity Coordinator – Meaningful Engagement Support:

English Rose Suites and b¨home Home Care is seeking a self-directed, creative individual to join our team!

English Rose Suites and b¨home Home Care is a residential care and home care company with 5 residential care homes located in Edina, MN.

This is a full-time position – 5 days a week up to 40 hours per week (morning to evening hours) including rotating holidays and occasional weekends. This position leads meaningful engagement and activities with our residents under the direction of our Quality of Life Director. The position is focused on leading community outings, volunteering and engaging residents in group activities.

Job Details:

  • Leads hands-on programming and activity support with residents
  • Assures that the activities on the Activity Calendar are implemented in each home
  • Develops activities to coordinate with the Life Stories of each resident while continuously reviewing and developing activities to surround the life story and enhance our residents’ lives
  • Responsible for Montessori volunteer outings on a weekly basis
  • Leads walking program
  • Leads special projects as assigned and approved by the Quality of Life Director
  • Brings new creative ideas to help support the activity calendar

  • Two years’ experience in music, art, crafting and activities in a care based environment preferred
  • Basic computer experience with Microsoft Office

Activities Team Coach -Full Time

A few other details about the role:

  • Orchestrates and leads activities for resident participation with individuals and in small and large groups.
  • Conducts resident activity interest surveys and assessments.  Attends care conferences and completes progress notes.
  • Establishes one-on-one relationships with residents. Maintains visit schedule per care plans.
  • Develops and coordinates programs.
  • Provides hands-on/on-the-job training to newly hired activities assistants. Provides skill-set retraining as assigned by the health center Lifestyle Lead.
  • Oversees the movement of residents to and from programs inside and outside the Community.
  • Communicates on-going performance feedback of lifestyle team.
  • Maintains inventory par levels and track inventory for supplies.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Obtains knowledge of and demonstrates the principles of Living Lifespace, person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, team work and quality.
  • Team member will support, actively participate and act in accordance with the principles of the Living Lifespace service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Living Lifespace. 

Here’s what you need to apply:

  • Prefer associates or bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of experience in recreational and/or senior living programs.
  • Familiarity with current health center regulatory requirements for activities.
  • Related certifications and training appreciated.

Memory Care Program Coordinator- Part Time

Job Description:

Parkshore Senior Campus in St Louis Park is seeking a Part-Time Memory Care Program Coordinator in our Reflections Neighborhood. The position helps the Director of Reflections in planning, coordinating and implementing engagement and programming for our residents to meet their individual and group needs.

This position is part-time, two days a week, Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Additional hours may be requested based on campus activities. 

In this role, the Reflections Program Coordinator will:
* Plan and lead activities as assigned by the Director of Reflections.
* Invite residents to activities and push resident wheelchairs when needed.
* Maintain contact with room-bound residents to provide one-on-one programming.
* Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings, online training, and in-service training sessions.
* Assist with resident bus outings.
* Organize, clean and maintain activity supplies and storage areas as needed.
* Complete additional tasks as needed.

Director of Activities- Full Time

Job Summary: This position is responsible for planning, developing and providing a quality Activity /Social Program designed to assist residents in using their personal potential both physically and mentally

Essential Functions:

  • Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal: to be able to read aloud, speak in front of groups and formulate ideas on paper
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess the following mental abilities: alertness, judgement, initiative, mathematical ability, creativity and imagination
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle

Responsibilities, Duties:
  • Develops and maintains an activities program which is reflective of the residents interest. Leads activity groups including exercise classes

  • Responsible to meet requirement of Federal and State Health Department's and other regulatory entities as they relate to activities
  • Must order and maintain supplies needed for activities
  • Assists other departments with special events and family functions
  • Ability to learn and assist in other areas of the facility

  • Offers suggestions and ideas for improvement

Life Enrichment Assistant- Full Time
