Company: Lake Minnetonka Care Center
Location: Deephaven, MN (near Minnetonka)
Hours: PT or FT- Weekdays with full benefits

Description: Lake Minnetonka Care Center is the smallest nursing home in the state of Minnesota, with just 21 residents. We are located in a big house about 2 blocks from Lake Minnetonka in Deephaven, near Minnetonka.
We are looking for someone who could really bring us to a new level with programming and implementation that would give our residents a varied, flexible and interesting dynamic to their lives that they have not yet experienced. So this is a little bit of an administrative position and mostly a hand's on position for the right person. We have a small facility van to take residents on outings out of the building which the residents really enjoy doing. No special driver’s license required. Usually we have two outside of the facility outings each week (before Covid that is.) Many of our residents are ambulatory and love to get out in the community. This pandemic has brought that mostly to a standstill and created cabin fever for everyone – residents included. The majority of our residents have been here over 5 years.
We have a stable resident population. We work with residents who have a mental illness diagnosis. We are looking for someone who has the experience to be creative and ingenious in the long term care field. We are looking for someone who is organized, pleasant, works well with others, loves our residents and can create a great enhancement of their life’s activities. Working in a very unique setting is an added plus!
This position (whether you choose to be PT or FT) enables the employee to participate in our Group Medical and Dental plan where the employer pays 90% of the premium (for a very good plan) for both the employee and spouse and the employee pays just 10% of a Blue Cross/ Blue Shield gold plan and Delta Dental. I can be flexible enough to have this as a full time position (preferred) or part time position. We are small and nimble and able to pivot quickly. We have a really great volunteer who has been very active (even during Covid) for several years. We can compete with any wages of bigger facilities and offer the top of the line medical and dental benefits as well as other benefits.
